What Is the Eligibility Criteria for Applicants

Must be a recognized 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(4) organization, a project sponsored by another 501(c)(3), or an initiative undertaken by a group of at least 3 unrelated individuals. The applicant’s budget can be no more than $2.5 million.
Applicant must prove that either the organization or program/project/initiative is working to reduce socioeconomic inequities in one or more Wisconsin communities.

The applicant can be involved in:

• Direct services

• Policy and advocacy

• Community organizing

Grant funds can be used for expenses related to operations and/or capacity building.

• Projects focused outside of Wisconsin

• Individuals

• Capital campaigns

• Endowments

• For-profit businesses
