Wisconsin Community Fund

For thirty years, Wisconsin Community Fund has been a leader social justice grantmaking in our state, supporting nonprofit organizations that are too new, too small, or too controversial for consideration by mainstream funders. Now under the Forward Community Investments umbrella, WCF is exploring new ways of seeding promising organizations and programs engaged in economic and social change.

Moving Forward

A program of FCI since July 1, 2012, WCF continues to follow the motto of "Change, not Charity", as we focus on how best to support the needs of nonprofits across Wisconsin. Our hope is that this unique partnership can expand on the pool of funds available for grantmaking, while developing new ways of identifying promising work to fund.

To help us plan “outside of the box”, we have assembled a Visioning Committee comprised of individuals from various and impressive backgrounds, who will work hand-in-hand with our board of directors. These individuals have agreed to share their collective experiences with us:

• Doug Nelson, retired president and CEO of the Annie E. Casey Foundation
• Katherine Dunn, vice president, community investments, Greater Milwaukee Foundation
• Kelly Ryan, president and CEO of Incourage Foundation (f/k/a Community Foundation of South Wood County)
• Bob Glowacki, president and CEO of Easter Seals Southeast Wisconsin
• Kaleem Caire, president and CEO of the Urban League of Greater Madison
• Susan Phillips, former president and CEO of Agrace HospiceCare
• Judy Wilcox, representing FCI
• Paul Harrison, representing WCF

We anticipate moving forward with a new organizational blueprint in the next year. Stay tuned!
