Forward Community Investments provided $215,000 to purchase and remodel a building for Omega School (Madison, WI). The new facility created an accessible learning space for students of all ages and backgrounds to take part in enrichment programs.

Created in 1972, Omega School is a community nonprofit offering an alternative learning environment where adults can expand their education and improve their lives. Serving nearly 700 people each year, Omega School prepares adults to obtain their high school equivalency degrees. Omega School offers a warm, comfortable environment where adults can engage in one-to-one tutoring sessions with committed professional staff.
The loan from Forward Community Investments helped develop accessible space where learners can grow and thrive. Located on Madison’s south side, Omega School is full of spacious, bright classrooms creating a dynamic educational setting. A variety of training programs prepare adults for success including:
- GED/HSED preparation
- Job preparation and interviewing skills
- Family literacy
- Avenues for employment
- Hands-on technology skills
Financing from Forward Community Investments allowed Omega School to build on its efforts to embolden and empower people of all incomes. It’s a partnership that creates a brighter future for students and for our communities.
