Rural hospitals get technology funding boost

Rural hospitals have more challenges than their urban counterparts in affording the large capital investments needed for new technology.  Forward Community Investments has closed on a $400,000 loan to help the Rural Wisconsin Health Cooperative deploy information technology in the state's rural hospitals.

Financing allows Milwaukee AIDS clinic to support new patients, new services

The Milwaukee Courier.  August 9, 2008

A $500,000 construction loan from Forward Community Investments to the AIDS Resource Center of Wisconsin (ARCW) more than doubled the service capacity of a Milwaukee AIDS clinic. The project responded to rapidly increasing demands created by the closing of three other major HIV health care clinics.

Forward Community Investments and CG Schmidt are once again partnering to present the CG Schmidt Capital Region Ovation Award for Corporate Support.  The award will be presented at the annual Forward Community Investments investor breakfast on October 2, 2008.  The award honors small- to mid-sized companies that have created long-term partnerships with nonprofit organizations that serve the underserved.  These partnerships can be defined in terms of financial giving, in-kind support, board involvement or employee volunteerism.

Community Action Council gets new digs
